The project involves the 30% design and engineering of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing improvements for a commercial space, including specialized layouts for manufacturing areas (A and B), office spaces, showroom, and vehicle maintenance facilities. This includes the installation of HVAC systems with wall-mounted units , a comprehensive electrical power and lighting plan with dedicated EV charging areas , and a plumbing system featuring high-efficiency tankless water heating.

Project Description

This project involves a comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design for a commercial facility in Fontana, California. The scope encompasses a diverse range of functional zones, including a specialized manufacturing plant with dedicated battery containment and charging areas, a vehicle maintenance zone, and high-density storage areas. The design ensures that industrial operations are supported by robust infrastructure tailored to the specific needs of equipment workstations and technical processing lines.

The mechanical and plumbing systems are designed to meet rigorous California Building and Mechanical Codes, featuring advanced ventilation layouts for both the warehouse and office spaces. Key installations include high-efficiency condensing tankless gas water heaters and specialized drainage systems for industrial and commercial use. The ventilation strategy specifically addresses the needs of different environments, from the open manufacturing floor to the enclosed administrative offices, ensuring optimal air quality and temperature control throughout the facility.

Electrically, the facility is equipped with a high-capacity 1200A, 240V three-phase service to power both general lighting and heavy-duty industrial equipment. The electrical design includes detailed load schedules for various panels, EV charging stations, and specialized manufacturing machinery. By integrating energy-efficient LED lighting and automated controls, the project adheres to Title 24 Energy Efficiency Standards while providing the necessary power infrastructure for complex commercial operations.
