This project consists of a full interior kitchen renovation at 3057 Heather Rd, Long Beach, as illustrated throughout the architectural, structural, and electrical plan sheets. The scope includes reconfiguring the kitchen layout, updating cabinetry, adding new appliances, modifying wall structures, and improving the spatial connection between the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The updated floor plan shows new interior wall adjustments, relocated fixtures, and a modernized kitchen arrangement featuring a centralized island, enhanced storage, and improved circulation. The renovation also incorporates updated ceiling framing and structural supports as shown in the structural details including new beams, posts, and Simpson hardware for code-compliant load transfer.

The renovation includes a full upgrade to the lighting and electrical systems New high-efficiency LED recessed lights, under-cabinet lighting, ceiling fans, smoke/CO detectors, and switched circuits are included to meet California Energy Code and Electrical Code requirements. The power layout provides new GFCI-protected countertop outlets, dedicated appliance circuits, and improved electrical safety measures. The project also satisfies the 2022 CALGreen Mandatory Residential Measures, as shown including indoor air quality standards, moisture control, water-efficient fixtures, and construction waste management. Overall, this renovation enhances the functionality, safety, and energy efficiency of the home while delivering a modernized kitchen designed to meet California’s current building standards.
