The project involves resizing the existing waterline and establishing a comprehensive plumbing layout for the site plan located at La France Street. This includes upgrading the water meter size to 1 inch and providing a new cold waterline (CWL) supply to both existing and new fixtures. All work must comply with the 2022 California Plumbing Code and related state building and energy standards.
Project Description
The project focuses on the comprehensive resizing of the existing waterline system and the development of a detailed plumbing layout for the site plan. This includes upgrading the main water meter to a $1$-inch unit to ensure adequate pressure and flow for the facility. The design incorporates a new $1$-inch Cold Water Line (CWL) supply to service both existing and new fixtures across the property.
To ensure regulatory compliance, the engineering scope encompasses detailed hydraulic calculations and the establishment of a Water Supply Fixture Units (WSFU) schedule. The design is strictly adhered to the 2022 California Plumbing Code and Green Building Code, featuring water-efficient fixtures such as $1.28$ gallons-per-flush water closets and $1.8$ GPM showerheads to meet modern sustainability standards.
The technical drawings provide specific details for the water meter service connection, including the installation of lockable curb stops and backflow preventers. The project effectively manages the transition between the existing infrastructure and the new additions, ensuring all domestic hot water piping is properly insulated and the potable water system is fully disinfected according to CPC 2022 standards.
